Titchbarrow Protest
Titchbarrow Protest

The group was formed at a public meeting of about 200 residents on 13th August 2007 at Clease Hall, Camelford. All of the committee members are local residents and are working for the group as volunteers.

At first the proposal for the turbines at Davidstow Moor was the most pressing concern for most people, however we quickly learned from windfarm proliferation in other parts of the country, especially Scotland, that this area is extremely vunerable to pressure from wind energy companies. So even if we did prevent the development on Davidstow Moor there is nothing stopping another windfarm company re-applying in the future, and we could also be hit by a new proposal for a new site a couple of miles down the road

So please join us in the fight to save our countryside from a new type of industrial revolution - one that makes money for the large corporations at the expense of our land, our scenery and our lives; yet one we are told will change our lives for the better.

STINC needs more active members to join the team. If you are able to offer any help at all, please contact our secretary at enquiries@stinc.org.uk

We also have a Wordpress blog with a few articles on it at stinc.wordpress.com We would be pleased if you would contribute an article or want to leave a comment on one already published

Thank you for your support!
